Primary Health Care Services
Okavango Air Rescue provides Primary Health Care contracts for companies with teams in remote areas and their guests – offering dependable, doctor-led medical support whenever needed.
Clients have access to Setswana-speaking nurses, available daily from 08:00–17:00 via phone or email. After hours, emergencies are handled through our dedicated “995” line. Our doctors are fluent in English, German, French, Spanish and Shona.
Camp managers are trained to record vital signs—pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respiration, oxigen saturation, and pain score—enabling accurate remote assessments. Patients speak directly with our nurses in Setswana or English, ensuring clarity and confidentiality.
Medication is prescribed from OAR-managed First Aid Kits, with every case reviewed by a doctor. If a patient fails to improve, we coordinate evacuation to town, beginning with evaluation at OAR Headquarters, referrals if needed, and medical clearance before returning to the bush.
Camps receive nurse visits on request. First Aid Kits can be stocked and replenished through OAR to maintain consistency.
